One verification layer for Europe's fragmented registers

BrokPass is an independent verification service. We query the official national registers of insurance intermediaries and return one normalized record — the same fields, statuses and categories whatever the country.

Why BrokPass exists

Under the EU Insurance Distribution Directive (IDD), every member state keeps a public register of authorised insurance intermediaries. But each register has its own portal, its own identifier and its own data format. EIOPA (the European Insurance and Occupational Pensions Authority) publishes an aggregated register, yet there is no single public API to verify an individual intermediary against each national source in one consistent, machine-readable format.

BrokPass closes that gap. Paste a national identifier and we resolve the country from its format, query the right official register, and return a single normalized record — one schema, one set of status values, one category taxonomy, across every register we cover. The same layer powers a REST API, an MCP server and a change-detection engine for strike-off alerts and portfolio monitoring.

Independent — not an official register

BrokPass is not operated, endorsed or approved by any supervisory authority, and it is not affiliated with ORIAS, FSMA, AFM or CBI. Our results reflect the official registers — queried live where the register offers it, otherwise synced from the register's own public open data. For a legally authoritative confirmation, always consult the official register directly; we link it on every result and on our data sources & compliance page.

Who BrokPass is for

Distribution groups

Groups distributing through brokers, agents and sub-agents across several countries need one place to confirm every intermediary is registered — instead of four national portals with four data formats.

Insurers, banks & MGAs

Register verification belongs in producer appointment, delegated-authority oversight and KYC/onboarding. BrokPass returns an audit-friendly, normalized record for every check.

Compliance & audit teams

Under the Insurance Distribution Directive (IDD), distributing through a struck-off intermediary is a breach. Continuous verification turns an annual spot-check into standing evidence of oversight.

RegTech & platforms

Embed European intermediary verification in your own product through one REST API and MCP server — one schema for every register, so your integration does not change when we add a country.

The registers we cover today

Coverage is driven by one country registry and grows connector by connector — adding a country is one register connector plus one configuration row, and every layer (verify, API, monitoring, this page) lights up. Today BrokPass covers 4 registers:

FranceORIAS

Identifier SIREN / N° ORIAS · queried live per request.

BelgiumFSMA

Who operates BrokPass

BrokPass is built and operated by the team behind yet.lu. We are an independent technology team, not a regulator and not a broker: our only role is to make register data easier to query, normalize and monitor. We do not resell raw register lists — we normalize official data into one schema and charge for the verification and monitoring service on top of it.
